    Carmarion D. Anderson-Harvey is a national leader advancing equity and inclusion for Black trans communities. She serves as Alabama State Director for Human Rights Campaign through the Project One America initiative, where she leads statewide advocacy and community engagement efforts.

    With a background in public health and education, Carmarion has led HIV/AIDS prevention initiatives and founded Black Transwomen, Inc., the first national nonprofit centered on Black trans women. She is widely recognized for her leadership in building programs, advancing policy, and creating spaces that uplift and support marginalized communities.
